Yes, homework help.

But this is practical, and you're not doing it for me. :p

Have something equivalent to writers block right now. So much shit in school right now, I just can't think of what do to.

Just have to do like a few minute presentation, in Russian (powerpoint too).

Topics are basically wide open, but we basically need to relate it to Russian culture in some way. Most people have been doing something about famous Russian people, something in Russia, or the obvious politicians.

I'm at a complete loss as to what to do. Kind of want to make it somewhat funny, though anything funny I'll most likely butcher anyhow when I sound like a 1st grader and stumble with the language.

I hate presentations in the language I [mostly] have mastered, so add that to a language that I don't feel confident in at all and you can imagine what I'll probably sound like in front of the class. :D

Last quarter, I did this fairly well - Хоккей в России .. Hockey in Russia, and also discovered they have this version called Bandy... that was neat to add to the presentation.

Anyhow...

Do a comparison between Jack Bauer and Vladimir Putin, make sure you contrast pictures of Bauer crying with those of Putin out hunting or in judo poses.

You could talk about the artwork and decorations of the Moscow Metro.

Examine the social tradition of eating pickles while drinking vodka.

there you go, see, I helped you learn a new word today, you should try to find a reason to use it :D

Now integrate it into your presentation lol.

But seriously, this is a massive topic but something that's quite interesting. Talk about how Russian culture affected the other soviet nations during the Soviet Union. For example, I've got a few friends from different places like Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania and Russia and they've all got a very different viewpoint about each other. Most people universally say that Ukrainians are dumb for example. These stereotypes are interesting when juxtaposed with how all of them were made to learn Russian but still have their own languages. Is there tension there because of that? As I said, everyone has a different opinion on it that I've talked to but it's interesting to hear what they think about Russians and Russian culture.

The title of your presentation should be, "Why I believe Vladimir Putin is gay."

Start with that picture of him on the horse.
