It's best to do this 3 times per probe (with all readings within one decimal place of each other to exclude human or probe placement error) and average the results into one final reading.

Got a few PM's asking to clarify this section so here goes.

When I say "calibrate" in this post all it means is that You will compare Your probe to another probe/thermometer that is More accurate and has Known tolerances.
In this instance You can't compare thermometers without a calibrated oven (that's You), So the entire process is designed to determine Your personal temperature with a known tolerance.

Since most temperature probes You recieve with fan controllers do not state their accuracy or it says that accuracy is +/- 2C You can't really be certian if that 40C temp Your reading is actually 40C.....it could be 38C or 42C as well.

The point of this entire process is to determine the error of Your probes so that You can either add or subtract that "error factor" from the readings they give to get more accurate results.

I hope this clears up the confusion and didn't increase it :)
