btw:

a) all engines use oil and that includes yours. it is using a normal amount. hard acceleration will tend to burn more.

b) checking your oil every other month is unacceptable... once a week at the least. that along with transmission, brake, p/s, coolant fluids.

tell me,

when was the last time you flushed the brakes, flushed the transmission fluid and changed the filter (if applicable), even looked at the power steering fluids and drained/filled your coolant?

Steering fluid is filled, Coolant is still at an acceptable level, just below the full poin by a bit. Changed the air filter before November hit. About to go on a brake flush when I get the money. Transmission fluid?? About 15k miles ago. I know, it's about time. I'm working on it k??

coolant should be drained/filled once a year... other than that you're doing good 😛

Technically you're correct, practically you're wrong. Case in point: My last car. 217,000 miles, in the 3,000 miles between oil changes the car lost less than half a pint. The level on the dipstick moved by a couple millimeters at most. If only the bodywork had been as good as the engine.
