Quick car audio question!

amplifier is 104x4 @ 4ohm; 140x4@ 2ohm;
bridged is 280x2 @ 4ohm... 4 ohm stable when bridged


subwoofer is DVC ... so can be wired to run at either 2ohm or 8ohm load


question: can i run the amp to the subwoofer at 2ohm load... as long as i dont turn up the gain? i dont listen to things loudly...
 
should be fine.

although looking at those stats the amp looks pretty weak. Try it and see. If the amp cuts out, then it can't handle it.
 
Reminds me that I've got an amp that is .5 ohm stable at 1600 watts sitting in the closet.

Maybe I should do something with it?
