My friend and I just put a new Sony Xplode (don't know the exact model, it's the one with the motorized face plate) in his Montero the other day. Well today he calls me up and says it stopped working

I went over there and he has a switch that turns his amp on and off under his steering wheel. The two wires came off and he tried to put them back on and when he did it sparked. Now his CD player won't work. I checked the fuse in the back of the cd player and it looked fine. The faceplate still works but the system just won't come on. I unhooked the battery to see if I could reset it and still no go. Any ideas?

well, i dunno if this will help, but on my old car, there were at least 3 fusees, one on the power line coming from the battery, one on the deck, and one on the sub, maybe check all of them?

Check all the other fuses in the fuse box..and just for the heck of it, check the ground.

replace the fuse, sometimes the fuse might look fine, but it might have a hairline gap in it after its blew.
