before i flash the bios, i was told to save the old one when prompted. where is this saved at, and is the flash goes wrong, how do i put this back on? is this a good idea?
the program you use to flash the bios has the option to save your current one
it will be saved on the floppy you use to flash your bios
then if you want to go back to your old bios you do it just the same way you are flashing to a new one (if the flash is bad it wont matter if you saved your old one or not, the board will be toast till you get a new bios chip or get your current one reprogrammed)
the only reason to save your current bios is if the new one causes stability problems or has some unwanted side effect
