Quick BF2 Question

I currently only have 512mb ram, but am planning on upgrading to 1gig in the next couple of weeks. My question is would it even be worth it to buy bf2 and play it on 512, or should i just wait till i upgrade? Thanks for any advice.
 
the demo runs fine on my system on low settings.

XP3200
Sahhpire Radeon 9600 Pro Advantage 256 MB Video Card
512 MB Daul Channel Ram

Let me know if 1 GB helps it I will be getting 1 GB in about a month.
 
if you wait, just wait for the price to drop, i think that game is buggy as all hell, If you want bf type combat, go with BFV or jsut get 1942.
i noticed differences when i went from 512-1gb on other games last summer (ut2k4, bfv etc)
