Ok you Monitor fanatics!

What is the best 17" Value CRT Monitor. Please include with your post a link to where I can get the monitor for that price WITH SHIPPING and any reviews for the monitor in question.

Thanks!

For what price?

CompUSA (they're everywhere, so no need to have it shipped) has an Envision EN-710e which is a quite acceptable monitor, though it isn't flat screen, but no "value" monitor will be. Envision is essentially the same brand as AOC, another "value" brand. It's about $160 usually, but they often have mail-in rebates on them that bring the price down to 80 dollars after rebate. Currently they only have a 20 dollar Internet order rebate, which is likely to be eaten up by shipping anyway.

I've seen the 17" KDS Flat Monitor @ Walmarts (B&M) for $98.00 and it comes with a 3yr Kares warranty...as LE pointed out when ordering on line shipping will slam you...best bet is to buy 1 @ the store and that way you can actually see and touch them ;)

Hansol 710p. Ive heard the they are very good monitors. Almost all UK pc mags have this listed as the best budget CRT monitor. About £110.

If you are looking for lowest price on an acceptable 17" CRT, Office Depot has sales periodically on the basic Samtron (by Samsung) 17" monitor. It is $119 with a $30 or $40 rebate (which I've always gotten from Samsung). I've bought two or three of these, the most recent at $117.99 with a $40 rebate totalling $77.99 for a decent monitor. I've never had a problem (knock on wood) with these monitors. I always get them at the nearest store.
