I can't find hardware comparisons for these two. I'm looking into them both but I'm not sure whats faster.

AMD A64 X2 4600+ 939

AMD Athlon FX 55 Socket 939
 
Single-Threaded apps - FX 55 would be faster.
Multi-Threaded apps - X2 4600 would be faster (much faster in some cases).
Multi-Tasking - X2 4600 would be faster.

OC it to 4800+ (& likely faster) speeds 😀
