Quick Advice on an Athlon 64 purchase

I need to build my parents a computer, so I am going to upgrade mine and give my old on to them. I have a 2500+ XP at 2.2 Ghz.

The rest of the system will stay the same:

1gb pc3200 hyperx
Evga 6800

Will there be a good performance difference between the 2.2ghz barton and a 3000+ or 3200+ revision e venice?

Well, I ended up ordering a 3200+ venice. Sorry I didn't mention my main purpose, which is gaming. I checked some benches for the 3200+ venice against a 3200+ xp and the difference in most games seems VERY large, which I am happy with. I went with the asrock board so I can go dual core/m2 and pci epxress in the future. Could someone recommend a good psu for overclocking? I already have some decent hyper x for my OC

Should have bought A Venice 3000+
See my sig, as overclockerble as a 3200+

I am not sure about PSU choices in US. But I bought an Enermax from HK which is excellent.

Also, get one of the DFI boards if you don't yet have a motherboard

At tigerdirect.ca or tigerdirect.com, there's an Asus K8V SE Deluxe combo with a 3700+.

Or, you can get a combo deal with the 3700+ at newegg with a hard drive or flash memory thingy.

On certain benchmarks, it beats the single core socket 939 3800+. If you check out prices on the s939 4000+, you'll see why this is a good deal.
