Ok, today, someone I work with said they have a friend selling a 9500 Pro for $100.

What I'm wanting to know is, at this price at this time, is it a good deal?

i'd say thats a fair price. maybe around $90USD would be better though. 9500pro is a pretty old card so its got some "wear and tear".

do computer parts really have "wear and tear" issues though?

IMO electronic parts that have no moving parts (in this case, only the GPU fan) do not really have issues w/ wear and tear.

Unless: the card is frequently installed, pulled out, handled by hand, etc. or the card is overclocked and ran out of spec. which will heat up the parts to temps maybe they weren't designed for.

yeah i mean a new 9600pro / xt is around 100 and above.........the 9500pro maybe older but it beats the hell out of the newer 9600. a ture gift of a mid range card.....all the power of R300's 8x1 design, and half the price! sweet card when it was out......id still pay 130 quid for mine if i had to by it again!
