Questons regarding xboxconnect

I've done some reading and I've read that xboxconnect requires a mod chio. I'm nearly positive I used xboxconnect once in the past, and my xbox has never been modded. Anyone able to shine some light on this issue?

you dont need a modchip to use xbconnect...just a computer and an xbox on a network and a broadband connection

Thanks a lot for the info 🙂

I'm just setting up XBC for my xbox now, and will host a game of halo in 10 minutes or so if anyone is interested.

<-- wonders if the lag is still there...

I've played a few Halo matches via XBC near the beginning... it was a bit shaky, depending on how the "server's" connection was... I guess that's how it differs from XBL.

I just wish XBL supported Halo.

It still had lag last time I played, UNLESS the host has absolutly nothing else running on their connection, I have RR cable and I had to shut down every computer except my main one, and shut down every program that used the net like trillian, etc and then i had 3 people connected to me with no lag.

I have an extra ADSL connection in my house which I can probably use to host xbox games for AT members. Anyone interested in doing this? It's the same connection that hosted the AT CS server.

I wouldn't mind "testing" it out... just can't do it right now...

This will be kind of pointless soon, with Halo 2 on the horizon. Most everyone with the hardware and connections to try something like XBC already have Live, and will be fragging with Halo 2.
