Pick up the mouse and put the bottom of the mouse next to your ear, do you hear a high frequency noise? My Performance emits a really loud noise and it's annoying. I noticed the Revolution does too, but at a low level so I never noticed it.

I don't know if my mouse's defective.

Yea, I just picked up my VX Revolutions and they both make the same noise.

I can hear a very slight noise on the edge of my hearing from both of my MX revolutions, but only with one of my ears. When I hold one up to the other ear, I hear no sound whatsoever. The people who claim that theirs has no noise probably just can't hear it.

yeah my performance has a noise if i hold it up to my ear only. no way i can hear it over the sound of the dust mites in my rug breathing.

Yes. this is in almost all Logitech mouses. it's the capacitor ringing..

Either way, I have the revolution mouses. I own one, useless for gaming, and it's not nearly as accurate as the wired logi mouses. :(

thumb wheel is awesome volume control though;)
i use the rev with a g9..that solves the gaming issues.
