Well, I've only heard of the "monthly friend" stopping due to stress but not the other way.

In fact, mine skipped before, when I was under a lot of stress back in college. I was extremely under-weight too...
that contributed to the condition.

Wow, Shelly. Nice little web site. You're pretty cute...smart too!

Ah MrsSkoorb da nurse to the rescue!

Periods are strange and terrible things. A lot of what was said is true with regards to many factors influencing the menstrual cycle: stress, more exercise, diet, you name it. A surge or hormones may even trigger an earlier period or a later one as well (depending on the hormone and what triggered the surge, gets kinda complicated. She is just one week early, if I read that right.

One question I didn't see anywhere "Is she on the Pill?"

That's really all I can say. I don't know enough! If she came to me as my patient, I would do a pregnancy test just to be certain since only she knows her body. Women know when things don't feel right and we are generally correct in our assumptions with regards to our bodies and menstrual cycles.

Anyhow, let us know what happens. If you want specific questions asked, feel free to ask. I have MANY books for reference here! :D

Have her get the pregnancy test. I had my period until I was three months along, and it was irregular, I just never realized I could be pregnant at the time. Avoiding the test won't make her not pregnant, it will just increase your anxiety. That said, yeah, they are irregular. Stress, heat, illness, dieting, alot of things can make them screwy. But, she should see a doctor anyway, even if she isn't pregnant, if this keeps up. It can be an indicator of something else being wrong too.

Just spoke to her and she's feeling pretty horrible. Says her back hurts and she's tired. I take it it's from her period and I asked her if she took any medication. She did, but I didnt ask which one(s).

She's hard headed and when i tell her to take a motrin, she refuses. Sometimes I just wanna throw my hands up and just ignore her. I try to tell her what's best but she refuses to listen.

Like the pill, asked her to be on it, but she says she's afraid of side effects. So, no, shes not on the pill

Personally, she's stressed out about her personal life along with working crazy hours at work. She needs a good job, one where she doesnt have to stand all day. I tell her she could change all this and make her life better by doing something useful for once, and not work some shitty job making copies all day long.

mine has always been focked, so i need the pill to regulate it. every female is different, so asking what is 'normal' is pretty pointless, sorry to say.

Go rent/watch White Men Can't Jump. Pay particular attention to the "I'm thirsty" part. Live Vicariously (but don't go any further). Laugh and know you aren't alone.

i don't think she's pregnant. that would be weird to have your period and then be pregnant. when i first started college my period was kinda weird, i'd get it like every 2-3 weeks. maybe she's stressed or something. see a doc anyway.

Are you sponge worthy? :)
LMAO
Didn't the Sponge come back on the market recently?

Hey, have fun in A.C. on the 4th. I'll be right near there....stay in the touristy areas (read beach, marina, boardwalk and casinoes)...the rest of the city is pretty slummy and dangerous in parts.
If you want to see a REAL real beach, there's a bridge in between Trump Marina and Harrah's that leads to a sleepy little island town called Brigantine. It's slowly being noticed by the rest of the world, so it won't be sleepy an under-developed for much longer. Take a look at an open uncrowded beach now while you still can :)
Just make sure you don't speed while you're on the island. Small town cops with nothing better to do--they WILL ticket you for going 36 in a 35.
