Its troubling that the police were so quick to burn the building out with only the thought that Dorner MIGHT have night vision googles. Almost like they didn't want to capture him alive.

You couldn't figure that out after the LAPD shot up a pickup truck with two ladies inside. Kill first ask questions later.

I study all these incidents, and its always the same downfall: somebody they captured manages to escape.

Couldn't they have placed three APCs or tanks or apaches or whatever the hell SWAT is using these days to combat civilians around the perimeter and waited him out with a megaphone? He would have posed no threat.

As previously stated, they did not want him alive.
