Questions on setting up a web conference.

I'm a newb when it comes to this so excuse my lack of knowledge!
Is there a software that I will need to do this or a site that you can do this from? I am pretty good with computers and what ever is needed I should be able to do with no problems. ANy help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks! :beer:

I would have thought you can use something like MSN with a webcam.

My wife has never missed Christmas with her family in Iowa but this year we cannot make it there so I wanted to earn some bonus points by setting up a live video connection via web cam or camcorder. Her dad always does the night before Christmas and I wanted to have it so they can see each other live. I know this is possible just not sure how to do it?

MSN is pretty standard, if they don't mind bloatware. (and various insecurities)
It is meant as a sort of rookie prog, so it shouldn't be too hard for them to set up.

There are others, like AIM etc
Probably, best to try the software forum for more knowledgeable advice on this.
Make it clear that the software is to be used by 'normal' ppl
