Questions on nForce

So which companies has an nForce board out so far? I'm really like my current ASUS A7V133, does ASUS have one out? If not, do you know any target dates? I'd like to get an nForce board with 512DDR and a new AthlonXP.

About the nForce. Are they still coming with built in sound, graphics and LAN?

Thanks in advance!

No companies are actually selling them as of right now, but ASUS and MSI will have their boards ready to sell on the 25th of this month, when WinXP is lauched.

Are they still coming with built in sound, graphics and LAN?

Yes, both MSI and ASUS will have boards with those features. OEMs will also have nForce boards, that includes CPQ, HP, Sony, etc.

Thanks for the quick reply! So let me ask, do you know what the model numbers will be for the ASUS board (IE A7V133)? Also, which chipset will it be on? I keep hearing about the KT266, is that the one? Lastly, any idea on the price of the ASUS nForce?

The sound from what I hear will be comparable if not better then SB Live 5.1. Dunno about how it compares to Audigy.
Onboard Video is a Geforce 2 MX200(400 version will be available too, if I understand correctly.

(if this multiposts or something im sorry our IT dept sucks the big one)

asus board will run more than $200 definately because of the highly integrated sound, graphics and lan

Absolutely not. It will be, at most, $160.

I suggest you get the nForce 220-D. It has the Dolby Digital sound (reallllllly good) and other the other goodies. It doesn't have dual channel memory, but the performance difference is only like 2%, as proved by Anand in his nForce review here.

Have fun with your new nForce in a couple of weeks. 😀

LOL Agod, too many people don't understand pricing on an international scale. I've quit correcting people on it.

Also, no one has done a review on the sound quality of the board. Until you read something that isn't on a site that's basically a rumor mill... just wait because you don't know. I think some side by side comparisons will add a bit of credibility to what's out there.
