Hi there,

I just got myself a Intel® Desktop Board D915GVWB board system which comes with Intel Media Accelerator 900 onboard graphic system.

I was thinking to upgrade the VGA using an cheap PCI Express, namely a ATI RADEON X300SE with comes with 128MB.

So, the question is: does the motherboard supports this card PCI Express? According to the motherboard specification, the m/b only have normal PCI Express but not PCI Express x16.

If support, not sure this board allow me to disable the onboard VGA and uses that PCI Express card?

Any experienced person that care for an answer?

You are out of luck. All PCI-E video cards are made for PCI-E x16 and your board doesn't have a PCI-E x16 connector.

Well, it seems since you just got the board, that you could return it and pay a restocking fee. Or, you could sell it.
I searched real quick at newegg and found this. That's the least expensive motherboard that seems clossest the board you have already. Except it has a PCI Express x16 slot.
