questions on fans

(1) Why there is a 3-pin PSU fan connector on the motherboard? Used for monitor PSU fan speed? How to monitor?

(2) For the case fan, there is one case fan connector on my Asus A8v Delux motherboard. Also the Antec True550 PSU also comes with 'FAn Only' connectors. So, I can use either of them to power case fan? No difference?

Thanks.

Correct! The third pin (yellow) is used to monitor the rpm of the fan. The fans rpm is monitored in the 'Hardware Monitor' of your bios. I do believe there is some software that will let you monitor the rpm from within Windows.

Yes you can use the connectors from the psu to power your case fans. Is there a difference between the the connectors from the psu and the mobo? I would think so. The difference is USUALLY power, in that the mobo headers don't deliver as much amperage as the psu does.
