Questions on DungeonSiege

Hi - I actually have the game DungeonSiege but I cant play it yet (need a new computer).

I've played a lot of Diablo 2 and I was wondering if DungeonSiege has 'unique' items?

Also does DungeonSiege basically allow you to hack your character anyway you like - or is it like Diablo 2 where when you play in Realm mode you aren't supposed to be able to hack your guy.

I know there are siegelets and a great variety of ways players can create their own gaming experience - but is there also a 'battlenet' mode that makes you work for your items?

Unfortunately the characters are save on your own computer so that you can hack them all you want. The only thing that is prevented is both server and player have to have the modlets. There are special items. Not like set items but prefixes galore. I actually just started single player, been playing multi since it came out. You dont get the same unique items from beating bosses except Lord Hovarts armor, which usually is average by the time you get to it but the same the second time through the game on veteran.
