I was thinking of possibly signing up for "StarNet WX of Palatine,IL" as my ISP (They are a Wireless FHSS provider and thier antennas are on the Zurich towers in Schaumberg, Right by woodfield mall). On DSLreports and on thier webpage they claim to have up to 2mbit up and down speeds. Since its a $50 a month PPPOE connection I doubt its anything nearly as fast. Has anybody here used their service? And if you have ... Realisticly what kinds of speeds are you getting??? like 1/2 mbit?? more??? less??
I've only seen one review at DSLReports, It was somewhat positive, however the reviewer said he was getting 1/2mbit or less.
Any feedback would be appreciated ..
