Questions for those that are with Sprint..... SERO plan to be exact

I am with ATT now and on a month to month basic (contract expired last year). Now from what I understand, cheapest SERO plan will cost about $30 plus taxes/junk fees and also give you web and data access.

I understand that you can't just use the phone with a laptop and log on the internet for hours. What I am asking is can you use a smart phone such as Treo 755p and access the web occasionally for sports scores, news, etc. for few minutes to an hour without extra charges? TIA.

What I understand it unlimited data is included, but just not for tethering. There's a big thead over in hot deals all about it.
