I'm just wondering if anyone know if I buy oversea products such as digital cameras, camcorders, unlocked cell phones, and incoming PS3 from Japan, Hong Kong, and etc. Do i have to be an autherize dealer of the product? I've heard from my custom duty broker friend that they had incidents which someone imported name brand product and was detained and eventually taken away during custom clearance because they're not authorize dealer to sell of that brand (Nike).
For my knowledge if i'm not wrong, if i pay the custom duty tariff then I shouldn't have problems bringing name brand such as Sony, Panasonic, Motorola, and etc. If anyone have experience please share with me because before i start buying oversea and selling on ebay and amazon, i don't really want to get into any problems with the USA custom duty. Otherwise, poor student like me trying to make few dollars to pay off my tuition and rent with just one mistake will force me to file bankruptcy(overexaggreated but you get the point). I want to prepare myself well and compile other people's experience before i start...
