I just get an IBM T40 laptop and love it
I have fews questions about the laptop though.
1) Does anyone notice that the battery doesn't fit very tightly. For example, the 6 cell battery I get can be moved a little bit by hand even though I lock it to the base of the T40.
2) The T40 laptop I get have no plastic cover on the modem port. I remember seeing a picture on the Anadtech web site show it have a small plastic cover on the modem port. Do you have one of this on your?
3) The flex cable between the LCD and the base connection doesn't align in the center of the space. It is the cable that next to the left hinge. I notice that it is align a bit to the left and press the plastic section just a little bit. I worry that in the long run, the flex cable cover might wear out from the resistance and movement when open/close the LCD. This is a bit hard to explain so sorry if I didn't make it very clear. Can someone with the T40 (or T40p) post a close-up picture of the your flexcable when open the LCD please?
Others that these three problems, everything else is perfect
