Rather than reinvent the wheel I thought about posing some questions to those with the P4S333/1.6A combo (or even the P4B266). I have read a lots of posts but can't get a coherent analysis of the obvious things that one must be aware of - excitement is causing a lot of rambling: Here goes
1. Everyone is using the retail Heatsink but what about the black thermal tape - Is this being used or removed. I have always removed for AMD but is it necessary for Intel. Not to mention it is so darn big and would be a real pain to remove.
2. Can I use Samsung PC2100 on this board - simple Y/N
3. If I run at 133FSB can I run the PC2100 at this speed - on this issue I would rather someone explain it clearly so that everyone can understand. It appears that at 150FSB you can set it to 4:3 i.e. 112 so what about 133FSB?
4. Is the temp monitoring in BIOS reliable - heard that SIS645 does not monitor properly in Windows
5. Noticed that the VEN1 jumper can set the core at cpu default core + 0.2 - If so what is the actual core voltage in BIOS after this is set? The manual appears to suggest that the core voltage is adjustable all the way to 1.7v in Bios but I think not unless the VEN1 is set to do this.
6. Any other special issues to be aware of when setting up?

So lets have it from those who have been successful with this combo. I have 2 sitting in the box waiting anxiously. I have been spoilt by AMD and have enjoyed my 100% successful run with their cpus but it is time to move on.
Thanks guys.

1 Retail HSF is ok even with thermal tape (at least for me 1.6A @ 2.4GHz 1.65 Vcore , prime95 overnight no problems )
2 This is NOT an ECS board so I asume smsung is ok I have infineon .Get cl2 it does make difference.
3 fsb 100MHz - memory 1:1 DDR200(pc1600) , 4:3 DDR266(pc2100) , 5:3 DDR333(pc2700)
fsb 133MHz - memory 1:1 DDR266(pc2100) , 4:3 DDR333(pc2700) , 5:3 DDR400(pc3300)- obviously NA yet.
4 It is reliable.
5 For northwood it ads ~0.05v
6 Flash to bios 1003 right away.

hope it helps.

I went ahead and set it up anyway and hit 2.133G immediately at 1.55v. This is a real shweet board. Now if only I can get the Cmedia to work and latest Bios 1004C to download - still working o it guys. Thanks alkaprim for the tips.

Wow the P4S 333 is a killer - running the 1.6A at 2200 (enough for me for now) at 1.55 core. Rock solid with all kinds of tests all night incl prime 95 and a few 3D demos. Got everything to work real smooth. This makes my AMD 1.4G looks like yesterday's news.
For those on the fence about this board
The P4S 333 allows core voltage adjustment to 1.70v without any fuss (in Bios)
FSB adjustments at will in BIOS
Everythink you want in an inexpensive overclockers board and no rebooting problems.
Awesome.
