Questions about USB-2 -- when, backwards compatible, etc?

I have a few questions about USB-2:

1) When is it supposed to become available?
2) Any word yet on how much a PCI UCB-2 card will cost?
3) Will USB-2 be backwards compatible with USB-1?
4) Has anyone announced a joint USB-2/Firewire PCI card?
(Thinking about not wasting PCI slots if possible).
5) What are the advantages of Firewire over USB-2, if any?
