Quick question for you Tivo lover, I am thinking of getting a tivo..

1. Can you use the box outside the US?
2. can you record one channel while watching other channel simulatneously?

Which web site is good to get tivo review?

I can really only answer number 2

My friend has a tivo that came with directv, and it has dual tuners. So you can record on channel and watch the other, or record two shows at the same time.
Tivo Community is a pretty good place, forums, can probally answer or have answered a lot of your questions.

Just build your own PVR, MythTV for Linux, or myHTPC for Windows.

I think the DirectTV one is the only one with 2 tuners.

This could be a problem for international users (other than Canada I'm guessing).

2. For direct TV -already answered. For Series 2, yes - go here for instructions.

1.UK , Canada, Australia (with modifications). Don't know of any others.

Get two TiVOs and connect each one to a different input connector on the back of your TV. Where's Ross with a two for one TiVO deal?
