First, you need to put the title of the other thread back to what it was.

Second, you should define your terms. Tt makes two Mozarts: one is a desktop, SX; the other is floor standing, TX.

The Tt VFD is called the Media Lab - easy to find out on the Tt web site and at many resellers (it's been available for a long time). Of course you could use any other just as well. Ditto with the mini LCD monitor (P/N A2413). You seem like you don't have much of a clue about using the web. If so, my sympathies... Or is it just the ADD excuse? ;)

No i looked, it says it fits in a 5.25" drive bay, and the one for the case i am talking about it will not fit in that hole.

The Media Lab VFD fits in a 5-1/4" bay. The 7" LCD fits into the special bay. Punch Thermaltake "Media Lab" (or the part no. for the 7" display) into Froogle - you'll find lots of hits for the VFD (around $85.) and at least one for the display - it costs 150% of what the case itself does.

I can help you because I have a Tx. The TT Media Lab screen/PCB fits behind that smoked plexiglass window in the upper left of the case. Because that area is not 5 1/4 (nor 3 1/2), you have to remove the Media Lab screen/PCB from the 5 1/4 tray and install it into that area on the Tx.

I'm not building a HTPC, so most of the Media Lab funtionality doesn't appeal to me. For my use, something like the Matrix Orbital MX 630 would be more attractive. Their products are not designed for the TT Tx, but it may be possible to fit some of their screens in that area on the Tx. Here's a link to their site if you haven't seen their products.

Ok thanks, but how do you hook them up?

Edit: Usb, also which ones will fit, and the ones you gave me a site for will they work with usb, and have software?

If you are asking about the Matrix Orbital products, there are many of them and you really have to spend the time reading the details about each product because they vary. Some are USB, some are Serial, some have software and others do not. If you read their info about the MX630, it tells you that it is USB and includes a license to use the software.

I don't know the dimensions of a microATX, but saw an interesting article over at Legion where he put a Gigabyte pico-BTX mobo (with a 3.4Ghz P4) on the right side and has an Athlon64 3800 on an Asus ATX mobo on the left side. Check this out if you didn't see it...
Legion "Best of Both Worlds"

The case lends itself to things like that and provides enough room for new ideas. I like having the room and freedom to work both sides of it with ease.

You have roughly 8 1/8" of height on the right (mini ITX) side of the case before you run into the bottom edges of the metal braces that provide power supply support. Length-wise, you have roughly 12 3/4" front inside wall to rear inside wall (assuming you don't have a fan mounted in that spot below the power supply area).

Ok thanks again man, this is the only area you are posting. I guess you know quite a bit about this case. And if i buy the TT media lab, all i do is take the VFD out and put it in the area in the case, and it will work right?

Been lurking mostly in the Anand forums and doing a lot of reading about the latest technologies, etc. I'm no expert on the Tx case, just a guy who likes it and bought one. Yes, if you go with the TT Media Lab, all you have to do is remove the VFD (4 screws) from the 5 1/4 bay mount and remount it into the Tx. There is a mounting bracket for the VFD in the case behind that smoked window.

I didn't say that a friend bought it, I'm the owner. "Worth what it costs"? That's such a subjective area that I'll leave that to each person that buys one, but I have no regrets. I like the case and it displays beautifully. Large cases are my preference...this Tx is replacing a Supermicro Server case I've had for the past 6 years. I was wanting to move to a cube-type case as well, so the Tx touched the right areas for me.

In the pic you're referencing, the PSU is there to power the ITX card, which is something I'll not do with this case. That PSU is listed on Termaltake's website, so you can take it from there.
