So Im watching the movie The Lost World today-I havent seen it in years & I had a few questions after the movie. The main one was who/what killed all the people on the boat that crashed into the docks in San Diego? Also, I thought these Islands(where the dinosaurs were created) were by Costa Rica, but I got the impression from the movie that they were a few hundred miles off the coast of California.

1) I'm not sure what killed all those people on the boat since the only dinosaur on the boat was the rex.
2) They were technically off the coast of Costa Rica, but the movie was filmed in Hawaii, iirc.

Costa Rica is a few hundred miles away from California. You were thinking that the island was in the Carribbean but according to this it was actually in the Pacific. On the opposite side of Costa Rica. I have no idea what killed the people on the boat. I guess we aren't supposed to think about it and just assume that the dinosaur did.

I know where Costa Rica is & its more than a few hundred miles from California-its way down by Panama. In the movie they say the island is a short jaunt by helicopter from San Diego-which made me think the island was off the coast of California. I see Steven Speilberg directed this movie-doesnt seem up to his usual stuff.
