questions about the matrix *spoilers*

can someone explain 'the architech' a little better?

in the first matrix, morpheus talks about him a little... he was a human that created the matrix so the machines could use their brain energy stuff... so was he controlled by the machines? did they force him to do it? or did he just do it? he's not a program or whatever right?

The architech is really a machine, but has a human brain. He had an accident when he was setting up his last machine and the machines took over. This led to the current epidemic of SARs and most cases of domestic violence. Also, the matrix can be solved if you use algebra. Hope this helps you to understand a little better.

aves.. thanks for the link.. but i dont have any idea where to start looking for information in that thread...theres 5 pages (i set each page to show 100 threads or wutever hte max is)..
