They was an interesting article on TV-out chips used in various cards. The Leadtek 128mb VIVO ti4200 uses the Philips 7108 as many other ti4200 do (Gainward, Visiontek, Prolink, Aopen, Asus & Abit VIVO cards all use same tv-out chip ? so same max 800x600 res). The 64mb tv-out only versions use the Philips 7104 chip which on paper can output 1280x1024 to TV. More in article here;

.. problem comes trying to find out which chipset is used in which card ? not much info from card manufacturer web sites on this. From various reviews sites, what I?ve gathered is that if a ti4200 card is offering VIVO capability then chances are its using the Philips 7108 chip and hence only 800x600 max output. The TV-out only ti4200 models usually use the Philips 7104 and output at higher res alas no video in.
GPU Clock speeds on my Leadtek 128mb VIVO 250mhz gpu (and 446mhz for mem) ? these are figures reported by Leadtek Winfox utility and RivaTuner.
dejacky: most ti4200 cards come with a DVI connector which can be used to output to second monitor. Only thing is the Leaktek 128mb VIVO doesn?t come with the DVI to VGA adapter while other card manufactures include one in the package.
