Hi,

i'm currently looking into upgrades with a PENTIUM 4 combined with DDR-SDRAM. RAMBUS is not an option because i already have the DDR-SDRAM.

frankly, i like EPOX mainboards most. i had nothing but good experiences (privat and business), and even if something didn't work out from the start or was obviously defective, their support here in germany is simply astonishing and can't be topped. the guys there really work hand in hand with you and try to fix any problem in the most conveniant way for the customer. for that reason i personally don't even care for other manufacturers, it'll be an EPOX :D.
other brands no longer exist for me, at least as long as EPOX keeps up the great work.
so, here are my two short questions:

1. is there anybody on AT who has already gathered some experiences with that particular board and could give me a first hand impression ?
2. i want to get a NORTHWOOD 2GHZ for some oc'ing fun. there should be a setting in the BIOS that allows you to set the AGP to 66MHZ and PCI to 33MHZ regardless of the FSB, so no harm can be done to the cards and data integrity is secure. does that really work and what can one expect as an average result ?

BTW, there's also the 4SDA+ with the new SIS-chipset. any insights or experiences with that mobo, combined with DDR PC333 ?

thanks in advance for your input

McFear,

thanks alot for the link.

hm, i guess we very soon will have something really nice to play with, but that's exactly what i was expecting from EPOX.
they simply get the job done, simple as that.

man, i have the mobo lying directly in front of me, i'm just waiting for some CPUs, but they didn't make it time. i'll have to wait til monday, too, i can't believe it...

good things take some time...argh

I have the EP-4BDA. It allows running OC with AGP/PCI locked to 66/33. Has been stable so far.
