Hello everyone,

I have a question about the 2070 super cards

So, the 2070 aftermarket cards comes in different brands, each brand brings out a few versions of the card. One version faster than the other, different looks and better cooling.

I was looking at the following cards.

Asus Strix 2070 SUPER O8G OC (Boost clock: 1935Mhz)
Asus GeForce RTX 2070 Super Dual Evo OC 8GB (Boost clock: 1815Mhz)

and the;

Gigabyte AORUS RTX 2070 SUPER™ 8G (Core clock: 1905Mhz)
Gigabyte RTX 2070 SUPER™ GAMING OC 8G (Core clock: 1815Mhz)

Asus speaks of boost clock to 1935Mhz. From my understanding it's possible that in OC mode it can hit a maximum of 1935Mhz. Gigabyte speaks of a core clock of 1905Mhz and so it's run all the time at this speed? Where as the Asus one can fall back to the default OC core clock of 1635Mhz and the Aorus one cannot?

So does this makes the Gigabyte Aorus the fastest 2070 on the market?

Is this really noticeable (worth the extra bucks?)

About the other cards, can't they reach above targets as well, even the cheaper (cheapest) models of the 2070 super?

I'm deciding here what card to choose, as the Gigabyte gaming is €560, while the Aorus is €619. The asus evo is €530 and the strix is €660

IF anyone could explain above to me that would be great!

I have a Zotac RTX2070 AMP extreme which has a boost clock of 1860MHz. Its not a Super, but i can tell that 1860MHz is not the maximum the card is running at. It usually runs between 1950MHz and 2040 MHz - which frequency of this range is chosen depends mostly on temperature. I never saw it running as low as the official boost clock of 1860MHz.

On nvidia cards boost clock means very little as games run at a higher clocks anyway. In game clocks can easily top 2000+mhz

I just bought a Gigabyte RTX 2070 SUPER™ GAMING OC 8G for my AMD 3900x build. I am pleased with it. I don't really hear it at all which was my main desire. Just be warned, it is a huge card, and extends past the length of the ATX motherboard.
