I'm thinking to change my actual CRT 17" monitor to a 15" TFT one.

First off all i have some question about this type of monitor.

When you scroll the monitor make a "motion blur" effect or is like in a CRT monitor ?

The second one is that i have read on th sony website that the monitor in 24Bits Colors can be slower. Slower on what ? displaying the content ? TFT monitors doesn't display the content in perfect real time like CRT do ?

After this couple of question I have thinkg on the Sony M51-D monitor. Here in Spain i could bought it for about 650$ and i think it's a good option of a TFT-DVI monitor ? what do you think ? Any alternatives to this model?

Thanks a lot and sorry about my poor english :)

If you get a high-quality monitor, no. Some low quality and older LCDs do have that problem.

No idea what they're talking about. I run my TFT in 32-bit color and I don't notice any delay

I have no idea what's available in Spain, but people here love Planar LCDs and I myself am a fan of Viewsonic's line.

Not bad at all ;)

Could you tell me what exact modem are you talking about ?

What do you think about the TFT monitor with a normal VGA connector to the computer and not a digital DVI one ?

Thanks for your response!.

I have a Planar 17.4" TFT monitor and I love it. :)

Personally, I don't think there's a difference between analog and DVI. With DVI, I don't have to auto-adjust my monitor everytime I change resolutions. Some people say that DVI has crisper colors, but I usually don't notice these tiny visual things.

The thing is that here is Spai we only have the typical monitor Brands like Sony, LG, Philips, Samsung and some more also AOC. Now i'm in doubt because i thought to buy the new Ati 7500 with DVI and the Sony M51D but if you tell me that the DVI connection is not a must have i can save the extra 150$ buying the M51 (without DVI) and buy the ATI 8500 ;-)

I'm full of doubts ;-)
