Questions about stock i3 heatsink

1. How tall is it? (Google failed me) (edit: found it in Intel's thermal design guide: 46mm... but what about the heatsink with the fan off?)

2. Has anyone removed the stock fan and slapped a larger one on? If so, what kind of fan are you running on it and what noise/cooling performance are you getting? I'd like to run a quiet 120mm on it but I'm not sure how well it would work.

You're better off just spending the money and getting something like a Big Shuriken.

For an i3 a COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 would be more than enough.

I already have a regular shuriken, but it looks like I could save significant space by going with the stock heatsink. (building a custom case)
