In the previews, he is wearing the new suit in some scenes that in the movie were in the old suit, right?

How was the movie? I'm thinking about going to it tonight.
 
the movie was good if you are not much of a spidey fan
the movie was good if you know spidey only from the mid 90s spidey sat morn cartoons
the movie was okay if you are a spidey fan from the comics
the movie sucked if you are a die hard spidey fan (cuz die hard fans are like... really nuts about spidey)

all in all, MJ called pete "tiger" ONCE during the entire movie.
The cinematography was good. The scenes were nice. It held truer to the cartoons than the comics, hence gwen stacy is not involved. Creative licenses were chosen in terms of it's divergence from the comics. And if you are a true fan, you will definitely notice some lines from the comics.

We do not see much of parker's GEEKINESS.
 
I don't see how a die hard spidey fan could think the movie sucked. I mean, look at the previous spidey movies. They sucked giant gonads. I thought the movie was great, and I was a pretty big fan of spiderman back in the day.

If that's true then I don't see how you can ask that question. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the movie sucked, it was great, but what he did to a huge part of the Spidy legend was soooo unnecessary. I mean, I could live with no web shooters, with uncle's Ben's death, hell even with the MJ dad thing. But to change such a crucial element to my childhood was just wrong.:| I mean, I cried when I first read that issue. I still have it today. If you're such a big fan, what am I talking about? Mday may be the only one so far in this thread that may know.

Thats cause they made em organic :/ .... Spider silk doesn't come from their legs :Q so they missed the scene of him running out of the bathroom freakin out too 😉

Yup...don't think too deeply into it--you're supposed to just nod and say "oh...cool new suit" 🙂
 
I think that Mday is smoking crack. You're about only the second forum member I've seen that says that Spider-Man sucked. Everyone else in accordance that this movie whips the llama's ass. Even the turncoat critics have given this movie A's and B's. $41 million opening day speaks higly as well 😀
