Questions about speakers.

Hi, I have a Herc GTXP and I wanna take advanatage of the other speaker outputs on the rack...

Does anyone know where and what kind of speakers I should get if I want them to have their own amplifier, yet NOT be a surround sound system themselves.
This takes out a lot of the computer speakers that are suggested in these forums. I don't want to pay extra for the surround sound setup in those computer speakers. So I'm aiming to find a set of speakers (satellities alone would be fine) that I can use for extra speakers to create surround sound.

Unless I am mistaken and the computer speakers that are 4.1 (such as the Z560's) have 3 different plugs going into the computer, one for each of the speakers. One for the subwoofer, and 2 for each stereo system of satellites. (I've never actually seen the computer speakers inputs)

Thanks in advance guys!

The Z560s have 2 inputs only. Front/Rear RCA analog-ins, which correspond to the Front/Rear RCA analog-outs on most computer sound cards.

Almost all computer speaker systems have 2 RCA analog inputs. I have yet to find one without.

Hmm... I think i know what ur saying. And they aren't RCA plugs btw. Or at least I don't think you are talking about RCA plugs since most soundcards DONT have RCA outputs/inputs on them. (The GTXP does however).

I'm looking for a cheap way to find speakers that have their own amplifier and can be plugged in separately. (subwoofer has its own conneciton, satellites each have their own.. etc.)

i have regular moster RCA cables running from GTXP to the inputs on my Sony Reciever... which is what i use for my home theater system. So my big speakers i use for DVD, cds, tv and everything- are also my comp speakers.
