I guess it all depends on what you are shaving.

I get 4-5 facial shaves from the el-cheapo Gillette disposables I buy.

But for my back and groin, well, nevermind.

You don't use the same razor for your back and groin?

Doesn't everyone?

I don't shave my back, but yeah, I use the same razor for the groin.

Wow, I'm thinking I should change my razor head more often. I've been going for a month at a time with the same blade. Now I use a Schick Quattro (no better at all than the Mach3, FYI), and have yet to change the blades.

Still works like a charm, though... Maybe it's the shaving right out of the shower.

One month per razor. My faves are the Mach 3 or the 2 blader with springs.

I recently tried the Schick Quattro.....Not as good as Mach 3 for me. It drags more on the skin and the whiskers get rather stuck between the blades to the point where not even a stiff whoosh of water will clean it. I basically have to throw the blades away even though it still has some life left in it. Total waste of money. I've never had suck issues with other blades.

<----------Can grow a good thick beard, btw.

I use a Mach3 and each blade lasts me a couple of months at least. I do have a goatee though so I don't shave my whole face.

I find Schick Quattro better than Mach 3.

Good god I hate the Shick Quattro. It feels like it's ripping the hairs out of my face. Maybe if I had really soft hair it wouldn't be too bad. And I do shave after showering so the hair is softer than normal. It just doesn't work well at all. I also tried it when I shaved my head last. No good at all.

I have extremely sensitive skin and very thick facial hair. With the Mach3 Turbo I get two good shaves, maybe three tops before razor burn hard core. In fact, there is a noticable difference in sharpness after the first shave.

However, I'd rather spend the money than suffer razor burn.

i know i said like 4-5 up above, but ive been using a gilette something or other for about 15-20 shaves now :Q

i like it rough... 😉 no seriously though, i just grew a pair and kept using it...it hurts like hell but i keep forgetting to buy a new one.

anyone try those cryogenically tempered razores from greatrazors.com?

Nope, but if they are really cryo treated they should last next to forever. My grandfather used to do cryo processing. have one razor blade that would last for years. I guess with the new ones you'd wear out the plastic and stuff on them. I don't think cryo fixes the plastic the same way it does the metal.
