Mine last me about 4-6 shaves, depending on my scruff. With the expense of razors, I was wondering if this was a rather shorter life than most.

How many shaves do your razors give you?

I shave immediately after a hot shower, which makes my stubble much softer than otherwise, that allows my razer to last much longer with an easier, less painful shave. This way I get at least a month or more shaving daily out of my 3 bladed razor.

However if I shave without the hot shower, my razor lasts only a few days, and I have a much more painful shave.

i have really blonde whiskers so theyre not real visible.
so i can make a mach3 last 2-3 months.

Grr... no matter how long/short they last, they never last long enough. My Mach3 doesn't last me more than a few shaves (4?) before it starts ripping up my face.

3 weeks, shaving every day.

lube up your beared really well. you should really work the lather into your face and not just wipe it on.

Well, this is what I do. I shave after taking a shower, lather up good, and go to work (not litterally, i mean shaving).

I've had the same razor since 1992. Norelco Lift & Cut (electric). Just keeps going and going and going...

I get around 30 shaves over a two month period with my mach three. Sometimes less, sometimes more which is rather impressive considering it's like shaving steel wool. Damn eastern European blood. ;)

After about the 6th or 7th it actually starts ripping the hair out instead of cutting. I'm just a rugged tough guy.

I guess it all depends on what you are shaving.

I get 4-5 facial shaves from the el-cheapo Gillette disposables I buy.

But for my back and groin, well, nevermind.
