What is CAS latency? What does it do? I am looking at some Mushkin RAM to get. It seems that the latency is what causes fluctuations between the price on products between the amount the RAM is (256MB vs 512 MB). I'd also like to know if 2x256MB is good or if I should get 2x512MB. If anyone knows of any good deals on going, or of better memory please feel free to enlighten me.

CAS is Defines the number of clock cycles after which the data is available on bus once CAS has been asserted. You will not notice any difference in performance between CAS2 or CAS2.5 do don't worry about it. OF course 2512mb would be better because the more amount of RAM. I liek Corsair Value Select and you could get 512mb for rela cheap.
