I know it's been asked a million times, but I need to ask a few different questions.
Currently, I am deciding between the VP912b, 2001FP and 2005FPW.
I have a few issues with the FPW though. I know that the newer games features widescreen support, but I play a lot of Counter-strike and Warcraft III. These are older titles, with the Counter-strike engine being close to 7 years old. I play Counter-strike at 800 * 600 and I really don't plan on changing resolutions. Since I play Counter-strike competetively, I wonder if the 2005FPW would stretch out my screen and cause my aiming to be off. That is my old major concern with the 2005FPW, otherwise it would have been an easy buy. On to the other monitors... I've heard great reviews about the VP912b and 2001FP alike. However, I've noticed that the VP912b tends to get the nod for being a better monitor. It seems to produce images better and look crisper. I was also wondering if anyone knows the monitor refresh rate for the VP912b, I know its 60hz for the two Dell monitors. Lastly, the reproduction of blacks and backlight tearing seem to occur heavily on the Dell monitors. This poses as a major concern for me. Basically, the only thing that Dell has on its' side is size difference. They are all the same price and I almost went with the VP912b until I heard some people talk about getting the 2005FPW. Thanks for any new insight on this major issue.

None of those monitors are suitable for you. I know the 2001fp does not interpolate 800X600 well (I owned one) and more than likely neither will the others. You are playing well below the native resolution of each LCD. Go CRT.
