from what i've read around, the xp2500+ is easily overclockable to 3200+ speeds w/a good HSF, or possibly stock cooling (wont be using stock cooling). although i've found other information that not all 2500+ can reach 3200+ speeds but will at least hit 2800+. my questions:

1) what is the FSB of the 2500+ when overclocked to 3200+
2) what is the FSB of the 2500+ when overclocked to 2800+
3) what is the voltage of the 2500+ when overclocked to 3200+
4) what is the voltage of the 2500+ when overclocked to 2800+
5) what is a good HSF to use?
6) what's the difference between SLK800/900 in cooling (1-5F or really extreme difference in temps?)
7) would you recommend an 60/70/80mm fan for the SLK800/900
8) what's the best performance 60/70/80mm fan for the SLK800/900
9) what's the quiestest performing 60/70/80mm fan for the SLK800/900
10) what's the best ratio of best/quiet performance 60/70/80mm fan for the SLK800/900

i'm going to be getting into overclocking. i know my way around a comp fairly well, but have yet to get my hands on overclocking (for fear of destroying expensive hardware which i cant exactly scoff at on a student budget) any good solid links for overclocking tips or other great information would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

note: i know not all overclocked setups have the same FSB/voltage, but i'd just like to see results of actual overclocked systems, to find out about an average so i know about what settings to aim for.

1) depends on what it will run at
2) depends on what it will run at
3) depends on what it will run at
4) depends on what it will run at
5) retail ones are decent... other than that, SK-7 and any 80mm fan would do
6) it's arguable whether there's any difference... if any, I'd say 2 degrees C max, assuming all else is equal each time you test it
7) low speed 80mm
8) I have a panaflo 80mm 2500 rpm fan
9) my panaflo is pretty quiet
10) an 80mm fan under 3500 rpm

This is where the term 'YMMV'(your milage may vary) comes into play. there are NO 2 processors that are the same out there, one may be ab le to OC like mad on the default multiplyer, while one may need a kick in the voltage to overclock, some require fsb only, I have had chips where the stock voltage can stay, but y ou need to lower the multi and up the fsb, and others where you jack the voltage, fsb, and multi tog et it ti go up, it really depends...
