Questions about nvidia forceware control panel...

I just picked up a Geforce 6200 for my HTPC. This is just to play video on my HTPC, so it didn't need to be powerful and it had to be low profile. This is my first nvidia card in a long time, so I have some questions about the forceware control panel...

1) Everytime I right click the tool tray icon, the screen blinks off then on (this is on a CRT) like its changing refresh rates. As you can imagine, this is EXTREMELY annoying. Anyone know why this happens and how I can make it stop?

2) I want to setup a custom resolution of 1776x1000i for my HDTV. With 1920x1080 I get major overscan, but with my previous ATI card, 1776x1000 was just perfect. However, everytime I try adding it as a custom resolution, it never shows up.

I would appreciate any suggestions you guys have.

n/m this problem. I think I got a defective card from newegg.

I doubt that problem #1 is a defective card. I know this happens with ATI CCC when you start it (at least it used to). It's just initializing something that causes the screen to blank. If it did happen I'd call it rather crappy software though. I know that would annoy me.
