Questions about NForce 4 Drivers

Everytime I try to install the newest nForce 4 drivers for my Chaintech VNF/Ultra mobo, after reboot, as soon as something connects to the internet, I get BSOD, I can barely read what it says, something about a memory dump, and a driver error, but that is about all. I restart, reload my old drivers, and I'm fine...it's upsetting, b/c I like to get my computer upgraded at all times, has anyone else experienced this, or know what may be causing the problem? I am about ready to just upgrade the mobo...

Gar, you are not the only one with this and other problems with the newest Nvidia drivers. I would suggest reinstall the older drivers which came with with your Chaintech board.

If everything is working with the old drivers then you do not have a hardware problem, otherwise if it did not work properly to begin with, then you have a hardware problem.

Good luck,

😉

Yeah, I just get giddy when I see new drivers, and...BAM....every time same error, so I roll em back, and start over, there aren't any problems with the original drivers, it's justa bad habit I got of updating stuff. I'll probably just break down and get a new mobo soon, either DFI or ASUS this time...no playing around
