Questions about new Panasonic KX-HGW200 "Concourse" network gateway

I saw the new Panasonic KX-HGW200 network gateway
this weekend locally at a good price. Looks like an
interesting gateway, supporting HomePNA (v2), ethernet
and wireless (using Whitecap), as well as the usual
firewall apps.

My questions:

1) Has anyone used this? Does it work well?
2) Apparently you HAVE to use a Panasonic brand wireless
PCMCIA card IN THE GATEWAY (there's a slot) if you
want to use wireless. These are pretty expensive
cards (about $140). My question: Can you use a different
brand wireless card in your notebook, or do the
wireless cards in the notebooks also have to be
the Panasonic ones? Does the Whitecap technology
mean that it's incompatible with "standard" wireless
cards?

3) On the box for the Panasonic wireless card, they
mentioned Win98 and WinMe, but not NT/Win2000. Do these
cards work with Win2000???

I did, and there's very little about the gateway there. It's
too new, I guess. There was a small blurb that makes it sound
like you have to use special Whitecap-compatible wireless
cards, but other than that...nothing...
