I have a superfast connection downstairs. How would I share this with my consoles and computers that are upstairs? How would I? I have a PS2 and a XBOX, which both will support ethernet adaptors. I also want to print stuff from my computer upstairs to my printer downstairs.. How would I do this? Do I need to hardwire all the way upstairs? What would I need? Hubs? More than 1?

P.S The total distance from the cable connection downstairs to the PS2 and XBOX and computers upstairs I would estimate to be about 100 feet

What product(s) should I be looking for?

Should I buy two routers or hubs? Because the XBOX and PS2 and computers aren't in the same room.

You should not need 2 hubs. The only time you should need a hub is when you have 2 or more connections in the same place or room.

If you only have one device in each room they will each need a cable run from the router or main hub that will tie everything together.

3COM is my recommendation for Nics if you need any. I would get a Linksys router with a builtin 8 port hub. Run all cables from Linksys to each device. (PS2, Xbox, printers and other PC's)

Hope this helps. Post any more questions

Here is my layout; Downstairs I have my cable connection. Upstairs, in one room, I have a computer and PS2 that I want to have an internet connection. In another room I have a Ps2 that I want to have an internet connection. I would like to do this with the least wire. What is the best solution?
