Obviously I won't be able to overclock alot since I use a stock heatsink(considering getting the XP-90 soon)...but how significant is the performance when overclocking from 2.2GHZ to 2.4?...should I even overclock?...and how do I go about overclocking?...my motherboard is an ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe...and I have a program called "Ai Booster" that controls and enables you to change the voltage, multiplier, and frequency, and memory...

Current external frequency:200mhz
Multiplier:11
Voltage:1.39

I have the same motherboard and CPU, it overclocks very well. Don't use AI booster it is a real POS and will crash your system. If you want to overclock in windows use Clockgen NF4(free download). The difference in performance from overclocking is very noticeable IMO. I have my 3700+ running 2.8ghz.

If you want more specific info on overclocking this combo, I'll answer any questions you may have

Not sure about the mobo, but I know that the 3700+ is a monster when it comes to overclocking. I ran mine at 250x11 with only 1.5vcore and got it up to 255x11 with 1.55vcore. I also used the XP-90 and a Panaflo M1A. Great cooling, great OC. 🙂

I'm running ma 3700 w/stock cooling @ 2626 11x238 , and it idles at about 36 to 39 depending on ambient.
