Questions about moving files from XP to Vista

So I pulled the trigger on a new rig and acquired a copy of Windows Vista Business Edition from my school's msdnaa program. I would really like to try out Vista but a few questions keep me from doing so at the moment.

1. I have a secondary harddrive that's used mainly for file storage like music and videos. Can I just hook that up to the harddrive that has Vista installed and it will be able to read everything? Or does Vista have a new file format other than NTFS that will force me to format that harddrive as well?

2. Also what about My Documents? Does it still work the same as in XP. Usually I copy and paste my My Documents folder when I do a format and then paste it back after I formated, will this work if I copy from XP and paste into Vista?

3. I'm also concerned about the drivers that I will be installing for my new hardware. I don't know if all my components already have their drivers out for Vista but does it accept XP drivers? If not am I stuck running the generic drivers until the proper drivers come out for my hardware?
+note hardware consists of : Gigabyte DS3 motherboard, EVGA 8800GTS (I know there are drivers for this so less worried), Creative SoundBlaster Live 5.1 (I can live with onboard as long as the drivers for the motherboard work)

Thanks!

1) a) Yes b) no - I assume you mean a harddriver separate to the one you'll have vista installed on? Vista uses NTFS
2) Vista saves all your files into a windows.old folder during install (In the local disk directory) - just copy over the ones you want to keep and delete the rest - or, as above, just move the ones you want to a different drive before you install
3) Vista has generic drivers for your motherboard so you don't need to install LAN/sound/RAID - not sure if there's a soundblaster live driver yet, but there are X-fi and Audigy ones so I doubt it will be much longer.

Installing Vista is a hell of a lot easier than XP - pretty much everything you need will be installed during setup - you'll just need to get the new Nvidia drivers as the one's you get in setup wont be up to date. Are you going for 64bit?

Ah thanks a lot! No, just the 32-bit one I believe. Guess I won't be so worried to upgrade to Vista now.
