A friend of mine in FL works at Lowe's and was asking me questions about Hiring, advancement and raises....... He wants to know if this typical?
Hired at $7.35 (Mar 06)
3mths later (small $.50 raise) $7.85
6mths later (Aug 06) got promoted to Team Leader ($1.60 raise) with a jump to $9.45
another 6mths later he gets another raise ($1.65) to $11.10 Sales Specialist
(That's $3.75 in 1.5 years and plus has 2 weeks paid vacation) Not bad I told him.
1--- What's the maximum money per hour (ceiling) a Team Leader and Sales Specialist can make? (not counting bonuses)
2--- Does Lowe's give out raises (other than for a promotion) early? Or do they have strict guidleines on every year?
3--- Both times he was up for a raise, they promoted him instead. Is this normal?
