Questions about keeping my case cool and Intel stock fan?

As you can see, the wiring is pretty cramped where I got 3 drives on the bottom, but what else can I do? How can I improve the airflow, right now there's one 120mm fan in front. But where should I put the rest of the fans? I have 1 slot on the side, 1 on the back, and 2 slots on the top.

And is the Intel fan supposed to sound like a freight train? This thing is friggen loud. I already ordered a 212+, but damn this thing is loud

Well, my realtemp is giving me around 50c with a light load.. a bit on the warm side, I'm guessing that's why it's so loud

Stock fans are terrible. That's why the aftermarket HSF market is so big. Just wait for your 212 and you'll be fine.

Edit - what's your whole setup anyway, what's stopping you from routing cables behind the motherboard tray?

Good guess. You're pushing air in, but not drawing it out. This will create "hot spots" in the case, and you're just moving hot air around in eddies. I would say begin by adding an exhaust fan to the rear...if temps don't go down enough for your taste, add another on top.

That isn't very hot for an Intel CPU. The fan is probably loud because it is running at full speed all the time. The 212+ will be noisy too at full speed (2000RPM).

You need to enable a fan profile in BIOS.
